Republican presidential candidate John McCain's wife, Cindy, reported $4.2 million in income for 2007, nearly $2 million less than she reported the previous year, according to tax returns released by the McCain campaign Friday. Mrs.
Presidential contenders Barack Obama and John McCain differed sharply on abortion Saturday, with McCain saying a baby's human rights begin "at conception," while Obama restated his support for legalized abortion.
After upsetting some conservatives by signaling an openness to higher payroll taxes for Social Security, Republican John McCain gave the simplest of answers Tuesday when asked if he would raise taxes as president.
I don't know where you get your so-called facts from, but 1)The economy has not been tanking for 7 years. The economy had about 60 months straight of increases, a record. Now that it has slowed down and it is an election year, the "Chicken Little" media and Dems are playing it hard that "the econonmy is terrible, the economy is tanking." Unemployment rose to 5.5% which is a very low number, nothing to scare every ignorant person out there with drastic sensationalized headlines. Companies are looking to the future and have a lot of uncertainty because if the Dems get in control, the Bush Tax Cuts will be expire and everyones money will be going to the inefficient government instead of into the economy. Did you know that since Bush and the republicans cut taxes, the tax revenue stream into the government has grown by a trillion dollars. Bush had the first 2-trillion and 3 trillion dollar federal budgets? The only way for this to have happened would be through a major increase in the economy. Peoploe had more money to give to the economy instead of the inefficient government.
And 2) the mortgage crisis has been boiling up for years, since the 70's, when Dems and liberals thought it was discrimination to withhold a loan from a poorer person cause these tended to be minorities, and then the Clintons put this program on steroids. Lump this with the "Flip this house" trend and you have the mortgage crisis. and 3) What happens to the billions of dollars that the oil companies make? You probably think it all goes into the CEO's and Senior manager's freezer's. NO, this money is distributed into stocks, investments, infrastructure, hiring new people, exploring for oil...in other words, going straight into the economy. Would you rather they give this all to the aforementioned "INEFFICIENT" Government to be "redistributed" to the poor through entitlement programs and to pay for the congresses exhorbitant salaries? Are you saying that you would turn down an offer with your company that would pay you millions of dollars if you grew the business by some percentage?
and 4) the Dems looked at the same intelligence as did the entire world. Saddam put on a huge front so people feared him (as all good dictators do) and the way to do this was to have WMD and make it look like he had enough to kill anyone and everyone. He killed his own countrymen with WMDs. There were 24 points that the Government laid out as reasons to invade Iraq and oust Saddam, at least 23 were validated, and the last WMDs were movedout in our long run-up to the war. Saddam did a good job hiding the WMDs to make Bush look bad.
I am not saying you should be a Bush lover and/or a republican, just look at the facts and not the playlist of the enviro-nazi beholden liberals who have taken over the Democratic party (whether in person or by money). Don't let your hatred of Bush overshadow any facts.
